Because, unfortunately, it doesn't always work out like this. Sometimes in the real world when you try to talk to a stranger they end up being rude, creepy or something else undesirable, and our minds latch onto this and jade us when encountering future strangers. 😒 Nice article, and we definitely do need to reach out to each other more, but this story also ignores the reality that we share the world with a sea of psychopaths disguised as regular people whose only desire is to hurt us in some way. The existence and knowledge of narcissism and evil is in large part what really scares us all and keeps us separated from each other.
