Bracts on a flower are usually much smaller than the actual flower, which is why we don’t always see them. Bracts come between the flower and the leaves/stem. They just happen to be very pronounced on the Bougainvillea. Makes it quite unique. I just learned all this a few days ago by the way when I was reading about it. It is interesting. 🙂🌺
