Changing ‘education’ to ‘education children’ doesn’t seem like too big of a deal but changing WWII to women is a head scratcher unless the piece was primarily about women. Perhaps abbreviations don’t make for good searches… not sure. You can always ask the editor why they changed it. Most seem like reasonable people.
