I get this. I remember tent camping once near McCall, ID and all of a sudden this horrendous wind and thunderstorm came up... thought it was going to hurl us off the mountain. The fun ended quick but then maybe it's all part of the experience... or maybe I'm a dumbass, too. I didn't try to light any fires though. That really is stupid, especially after they were warned.
