I was lucky. I learned to ski in Idaho where skiing is generally a lot cheaper and people are ok with looking dorky and awkward. We take pride in it. Plus I was quite young then so that helped. Glad you got out there and gave it a try! I miss it. Haven't been in quite a few years now but I always loved it.
