Luckily I've mostly had good luck with publications but I know it's because I went with pubs that were highly recommended by you and other writers. There's only one pub that changed my article so much that I hardly recognized it. They didn't even run the changes by me first before they published it. I pulled it immediately and self-published it sans their outrageous editing.
