Oh, sorry but a blanket statement like that is not true at all. Depends on where you are. When I was younger I used to have a problem with leaving my purse in various places around the country on my travels and I always had it returned by kind strangers. Thankfully! When I worked at Disney World we always had people turn in wallets and other lost items. Just the other day I found a wallet at the Seattle airport when I was flying out. Just as I was turning it in the owner came up and he was able to get his wallet back. Of course he was quite grateful and thanked me profusely.
