These are great tips and spot-on suggestions. I had a huge advantage in becoming an ex-pat as my husband is from the country we moved to. Without his expertise, family and friends I can't even imagine how difficult it would have been to make the adjustment!

As a military spouse I suppose you would have other expats around you, which would help with meeting people and getting used to things. That might just be my assumption though.
