You were smart to leave the US for Ireland as it sounds like there is more opportunity there. The biggest problem in the US is just the sheer volume of people trying to immigrate. So many places like New York are crazy overpopulated. Too many people and not enough jobs... yet people still want to come. They don't realize that America is much different than it was a few decades ago.
